I like having Linux "in my pocket" because I can see a day coming when I'll want to run an application that doesn't have a Windows version. At the moment, I just have Linux "in my pocket" as a virtual machine on my Windows system, at the ready in case I ever need it. I still didn't switch to Linux: I run it inside Windows, and I love it. This all changed in 2010, when I tried Linux Mint. I won't switch, but I do run Linux inside Windows, with VMWare or VirtualBox, and I love it.
